Mission and Aim of Funding for OLFMD

The OLF has up to $1,500,000 of funding available through this request for applications. Funding is milestone driven and will be distributed over a period of approximately three to four years.

The OLFMD funds projects in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, novel diagnostics which enable the delivery of innovative therapeutics and medical devices aimed at a treatment or cure for macular degeneration. The OLFMD aims to advance translation towards solutions and products with the potential to treat or prevent macular degeneration.

Our mission is to accelerate the research process from academic invention to marketable product.We encourage and seek to fund innovative research and the development of novel therapies, and products, which address unmet medical needs and benefit patients with macular degeneration or those on a course to developing macular degeneration. The OLFMD supports the development of novel treatment options, and medical devices through funding with the aim to advance translation towards solutions and products with the potential to treat or prevent macular degeneration.
